Christmas Fun in Reepham

We gathered in the spruced up and beautifully decorated Town hall , as usual for our Christmas meeting, as always a social event. Many thanks to our chairman and committee for organising such a hilarious evening. The generosity of all members meant  plenty of food, and the chance to sample ten different sorts of sausage roll, and yes I tried them all!

There was a 'lucky dip' and for only fifty pence I was able to 'choose', luckily, some gorgeous crucuses. Some other people found, that 'luckily' they too could choose just what they wanted!

BUDDLEIA

I have lovely dark purple buddleia with only a few butterflies on it. I pass a neglected garden up the road with the common, pale mauve buddleia which is covered with butterflies. I used to dislike this common pale one, though now I quite like it, which is why I have the dark one. I used to collect them, when I had a much bigger garden, and had just about all the variations, including the yellow round flowered sort, and the large flowered pink one but don't remember any significant difference in their attractiveness.

Saturday, and its not raining!

well I am itching to get on in the garden, and have done a bit of tidying up with the huge and guiltless aid of the BROWN BIN, but I was careful to shake all the bits of litter I have discarded so as not to consign the small creatures to two weeks of solitary in the aforesaid brown bin prior to collection, and then the torture of composting at the mercy of the council facility, because I want them all to live happily and healthily in my soil, not just die in someone else's.
