Happy New Year

A Happy New Gardening Year to all our members and prospective members.  Who knows what weather conditions will confront us in 2014? Plenty of rain so far, the mediterranean dry gardens we planted a few years ago didn't last!  My exotic grasses are windswept but seem more inclined to persist.  I am again tempted to introduce more of these and lose some "lawn".  As ever, the runaway success story is the bronze fennel which would colonise every inch, given the chance.  It has a tap root which requires strength and perseverance to remove, after a year or so.  If only the delphiniums were as determined to grow.
